I’m a writer and educator focused on family, science, health and the environment. I’ve previously worked as both a Metro Reporter for Chicago Public Media and as a freelance health journalist supported by the Stanford Health Equity Media Fellowship. My freelance journalism has been published by NPR, Short Wave, Science Friday, and KFF Health News. My lyric essay “Electrocardiogram” is forthcoming in River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative. I currently teach English and biology at the Frederick Gunn School.
