About Indi

Indira Khera is a Chicago-based journalist focusing on health, science and climate change. She is currently a Stanford Health Equity Media Fellow. The year long program provides support for early career journalists to tell health equity stories - her stories from the fellowship have been published by KFF Health News and NPR. Khera previously worked as a Metro Reporter with WBEZ, where she covered stories about migrants, housing and climate across Chicagoland. Khera has also interned and freelanced with NPR's daily science podcast Short Wave. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2022 with a degree in Biology.
